The Scheldt Pocket Warrior (1/2)

Commissioned by the “Canada Committee Knokke-Heist” and the “For Freedom Museum” in Ramskapelle, I was allowed to design a soldier in 2024.

This sculpture was given the title “The Scheldt Pocket Warrior” and was donated to Canada on the occasion of the 80th commemoration of the liberation of our region by the Canadian troops during WWII .

My sculpture was officially handed over to the then ambassador of Canada, Mr. Alain Gendron, in the Magritte Room in the Casino in Knokke.

The statue will be placed in the “Canadian War Museum” in Ottawa where it will be part of the permanent exhibition.
